The Dinner Bag

A handbag you can eat off of. Limited edition leather handbag with knife, fork, and porcelain plate.

The Dinner Bag

Equal parts fashion statement and impromptu tablescape, the Dinner Bag is built for those who take their accessories — and their meals — seriously.

Knife, Fork, and Plate

Each bag is crafted from soft, structured leather, with an adjustable strap. The plate and fork are real, removable, and fully usable — ideal for unexpected picnics, chaotic fashion week meals, or just skipping the wait at the restaurant.

This is not a novelty item. This is a serious bag for unserious occasions.

Behind The Project

Making The Dinner Bag

What if you could have your cake and eat it too?

The Dinner Bag allows you to have a sit-down meal wherever you are. It’s a functional statement piece, one that was inspired by many designed-object iterations involving food and leather (see the Hotdog Purse and Pizza Bag). Is it silly? Yes. It is completely functional? Also yes.

Our first prototype– sizing the fork and knife to fit the body of the bag.

The Photoshoot

To capture the spirit of the Dinner Bag, we photographed it as part of a surreal bridal escape — a bride speeding off on a motorcycle, cake in hand, bag slung over her shoulder. We went to City Hall (home of the NYC Marriage License Bureau) for this Runaway Bride inspired photoshoot, starring model Vienna Skye. 🍰

The white ceramic plate attached to the bag mirrors her dress, turning the accessory into both a wedding keepsake and a last-minute serving platter. The shoot captures the chaotic glamour of leaving your own party, dinner still in motion.
